~ Definition of Amenities ~

 

 

Bed Bug Free Facility - With bed bug infestations on the rise across the country, we have taken extreme precautions to ensure our facility remains bed bug free. Each of our bed and sofa mattresses are equipped with individual bed bug proof mattress and box spring covers, as too are the pillows (as an added bonus, they make skin cell permeation an impossibility as well). All floors are thoroughly vacuumed and all bedding is washed. We stress to our guests to refrain from placing luggage on their beds. And, we habitually perform inspections to ensure that none of our countermeasures have been compromised. All of our methods are effective while remaining safe for our guests.

 

 

Beds: Our King and Queen sized beds have Simmons® BeautyRest™ Luxury Firm mattresses with added high-loft mattress toppers. The pillows, mattresses, and box springs on each bed are wrapped in breathable bed bug proof covers. Our bedding is made up of 800 thread-count cotton herringbone weave sheets and pillow cases, quilted coverlets, and cotton down alternative duvets.

 

 

No Smoking - There is no smoking allowed inside the Elliot Rose Guesthouse. There are, however, designated areas outdoors. Our detectors are wirelessly synchronized with those in other bedrooms, so what is done in one, will affect all - including sounding the alarm. This safety measure better ensures that if a fire were to begin in the basement, guests on the 2nd floor wouldn't have to wait for the smoke to reach them before being notified of the danger.

NOTE: Tampering with and/ or disabling a smoke detector is in violation of our policy and fines may result.

 

 

Information and Reading Material - Guests will find various sources of information in print at these locations.

 

 

 

 

Phone Services - These rooms are provided with their own cordless phone. Local & long distance service is included.

 

 

 

 

WiFi – Free, wireless b/g/n network access to our ultra-fast 10Mbps broadband internet connection. The system is password protected and is relatively easy for our guests to connect. We have technical assistance available for those who might find themselves needing help with logging on.

 

 

 

Television - These rooms are equipped with flat panel HD television sets and are subscribed to the cable network. Connect your own multimedia devices to the display via HDI, Coaxial, S-Video, or RCA inputs.

 

 

 

 

DVD Video - These rooms have a DVD player to accompany their television set. If you would prefer to watch a movie rather than settle for what is on cable, you might consider accessing our DVD collection located in the library, and take a title back to your room.

 

 

 

Coffee & Beverage Station - Let's face it, for many of us coffee is one of those things we’d notice missing in our day. You'll find fresh ground, tea, hot coca, and all associated beverage paraphernalia in these rooms. Cold refreshments include bottled water, milk, & juice varieties.

 

 

 

Meal Prep - In these rooms, guests will find a usable countertop and simple appliances in order to preserve, prepare, or heat up simple meals. This will consist of a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, sink, and ample counter space.

 

 

 

Place Setting - This icon indicates the room has a designated space for dining and/or snacking. Guests will likely find at least one or two tables and accompanying chair sets.

 

 

 

 

Spa Services - Renew your mind and body. The staff from Indigo Therapeutic Massage is ready to help make your stay an even more relaxing one. On-site room dedicated for their service.

 

 

 

 

Lavatory: Room G has the exclusive use of a large lavatory with over-sized soaking tub along with a separate shower stall. Rooms M and W share their bathroom with one another. The 2nd Floor Suite is comprised of all the rooms upstairs within one package, therefore it too has its own bathroom.

 

 

 

Baby Friendly - Although they can be accommodated in any room, some rooms are better suited for children than others. Pack-n-Play available upon request. All outlets throughout the Guesthouse that are not in use have child-resistant covers in place.
